Rapides Parish, La. (2/1/2025) – A shooting on England Drive resulted in a high-speed pursuit and a SWAT standoff, leaving one person injured and three suspects in custody.
Around 12:30 PM, patrol deputies responded to the 2400 block of England Drive after receiving reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, deputies found a victim with an arm wound.
Deputies rendered medical aid, including applying a tourniquet, until an ambulance arrived to transport the victim to a local hospital. The victim’s condition remains unknown.
Detectives and the Crime Scene Unit began investigating and identified a possible suspect vehicle, a white, four-door sedan. At approximately 1:45 PM, deputies located the vehicle near LA 28 East and Pinehurst, initiating a high-speed pursuit.
Louisiana State Police joined the chase as the suspects fled down LA 28 East and onto Philadelphia Road. The pursuit ended near Philadelphia and Vit Road, where deputies conducted a felony stop and apprehended two suspects.
A third suspect was arrested during a SWAT operation on Smith Street in Wardville.
