Alexandria, LA (May 24, 2025) — Alexandria police are investigating an early morning shooting that left one person injured near the intersection of Eddie Williams Avenue and Hollywood Drive another troubling incident in the city’s ongoing struggle with gun-related violence.
At approximately 12:38 AM, officers with the Alexandria Police Department (APD) responded to reports of gunfire in the area.
Upon arrival, they located a victim with a gunshot wound who was transported to a local hospital.
APD has not released further details on the victim or any suspects. The case remains under active investigation.
This shooting is one of many firearm-related incidents reported in Alexandria in recent months, sparking growing concerns about public safety, particularly in Districts 1, 2, and 3, represented by Larvadain, Johnson, and Perry, with several of these shootings occurring in broad daylight.
