Alexandria, LA (06/16/2024) – On Sunday, June 16, 2024, at approximately 6:05 PM, the Alexandria Police Department (APD) responded to reports of a shooting at the intersection of Jackson Street and Thorn Street. The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The condition of the victim remains unknown at this time.
The shooting occurred in an isolated but heavily traveled area on Jackson Street, adjacent to I-49. APD has not confirmed if this incident is connected to an earlier shooting that took place around 12:40 AM Sunday morning at Tennessee Avenue and Levin Street.
