Alexandria, LA (3/1/2024) – The Alexandria Police Department (APD) announced the arrest of a second suspect in connection with the tragic homicide that occurred on October 8, 2023, in the 2500 block of Culpepper Road.
On Wednesday, February 28, 2024, 26-year-old Troyvonta Green was apprehended in Conroe, Arkansas, on an outstanding warrant for Second Degree Murder and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
Green, who was residing in Conway, Arkansas, at the time of his arrest, was booked into the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office. The arrest was made possible with assistance from the United States Marshals Service.
Mayon Jones Jr., 23, the first suspect arrested in connection with the case, was taken into custody in Concordia Parish on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. Jones faces charges of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. He remains in the custody of the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office, with bond set at $200,000 and parole violations.
The victim, Mr. Shedrick Jordan, 22, of Alexandria, LA, tragically succumbed to his injuries at the hospital on October 8, 2023. Shedrick’s family had offered a $10,000 cash reward for information leading to the capture of Green.
