Westerly winds behind a weak frontal boundary will bring drier air to today’s forecast area. Skies should be mostly sunny, with high temperatures in the low to mid-80s. Conditions should feel more comfortable with less humidity.
A stalled frontal boundary will be located across lower Acadiana and the coastal waters. South of the boundary, light southeast winds with lows in the mid to upper 60s. North of the boundary, light northeast winds can be expected, with lows in the mid-50s to near 60 degrees.
A warm front will move north and bring a chance for showers and thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon. There is the potential for some of the thunderstorms to become severe, mainly north of the Highway 190 corridor. Highs will be in the mid-70s to around 80. Winds will be southeast at around ten mph.
