Sabine Parish, LA (7/14/2024) — Julius Theodore Winfield IV, 21, is currently wanted by authorities for several serious charges following a shooting incident that occurred off Newton Road, just west of Many, on the night of July 13, 2024.
Winfield faces charges of attempted first-degree murder, illegal use of weapons, aggravated criminal damage to property, possession of a firearm by a person convicted of domestic abuse battery, and terrorizing. The Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Office has issued a warrant for his arrest.
The incident took place during a large social event attended by nearly 1000 people. For reasons yet to be determined, Winfield allegedly opened fire into the crowd, injuring 2 to 3 individuals. Fortunately, the injuries reported are non-life-threatening. Additionally, a vehicle was struck by the gunfire.
Authorities are actively investigating the incident and will release more details as they become available.
