Alexandria, LA (8/14/2023) – Jeff Powell, Rapides Parish School Board Superintendent, released the following statement regarding HVAC issues:
"Our schools have been off to a very strong start this morning. We have had a few reports of HVAC issues in individual classrooms or parts of buildings today, but each of those has been or is being addressed as they are reported. At this point there does not appear to be any increase in HVAC issues over any other year for our 48 locations. When there is an issue, our school leaders report the issue and make adjustments to ensure the safety of our students, employees and visitors."
