Robert “Bobby” Jordan Jr. passed away on February 24, 2026, at the age of 76. Robert “Bobby” Jordan Jr. died at Valley View Health Care Facility in Marksville after a brief illness.
His family shared the news with deep sadness and said he will be sincerely missed.
Jordan dedicated part of his life to public service. He previously served as a member of the Rapides Parish Police Jury. Through that role, he contributed to local governance and community matters in Rapides Parish.
Meanwhile, his family will hold a private graveside service on March 9, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. The service will take place at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Alexandria. Rev. Billy Dorsey will officiate. However, those who wish to attend may do so.
Jordan was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Jordan Sr. and Annie Bell Jordan. Nevertheless, he leaves behind a legacy through his family. He is survived by his two sons, Robert Jordan III and Christopher M. Jordan.
He also leaves four grandchildren: Jaiden Jordan, Alyssa Jordan, Aaliyah Jordan, and Angel Jordan. In addition, he is survived by one great-grandchild, Kaliko Jordan Reynosa, along with many other relatives and friends.
The family extended special thanks to his faithful cousin, James Earl Williams. They also thanked the staff of Valley View Health Care Facility and Guardian Hospice for their compassionate care during his final days.
