Registered Sex Offender Arrested After Attempted Kidnapping in Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, La. (4/8/2025) – A registered sex offender has been arrested for an attempted kidnapping in Alexandria on West Sycamore, Royal Ridge Apartments (aka: Karst Park).

Alexandria Police arrested 25-year-old Christopher Braxton on April 8, 2025, without incident. He remains in custody.

Officers from Louisiana Probation and Parole assisted in locating Braxton, who faces multiple felony charges.

Braxton is charged with attempted simple kidnapping, sexual battery, and indecent behavior with a juvenile.

The arrest follows a Facebook post from a concerned mother describing a disturbing encounter involving her daughters.

She reported that the suspect made inappropriate comments and fled in a vehicle with no license plate and a skeleton sticker.

This attempted kidnapping in Alexandria has sparked serious concern among residents, especially near Karst Park.
