Rayne, LA. (9/14/2022) – On Sunday, September 11, 2022, at 2:21 PM, the Rayne Police Department responded to a business on Crandall Avenue where two juveniles from Crowley were shot. Both juveniles were transported to area hospitals where they were released after treatment.
On Tuesday, September 13, 2022, detective with the Rayne Police Department obtained arrest warrants for Darius Senegal (age 21) of Rayne, Chasten Blake Carrier (age 22) of Church Point, and Deante Carrier (age 24) of Rayne for attempted first degree murder.
Chief Stelly stated the investigation determined the likely motive for the shooting was retaliation for a January 2022 shooting in Crowley where Darius Senegal was the alleged victim.
