Tioga, LA (6/11/2024) – At approximately 5:30 PM, Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Patrol Deputies responded to a local business in the 4000 block of Shreveport Highway regarding a report of a white male suffering from a gunshot wound.
Witnesses stated that the victim walked to the business from a nearby residence where the alleged shooting occurred. Deputies quickly secured the scene and provided aid until Acadian Ambulance arrived. The victim was transported to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening leg injury.
Sheriff’s Detectives and the Crime Scene Unit were on the scene, collecting evidence and conducting their investigation. Preliminary findings suggest that the incident was isolated and involved two individuals.
