Shreveport, LA (9/22/2022) On September 19th, 2022, at 7:35 p.m., Shreveport Police Department (SPD) patrol officers responded to a shooting in the 3000 block of Salem Drive. Arriving officers located a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The Shreveport Fire Department transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Investigators with the Violent Crimes and Crime Scene Units were summoned to the scene and located the original crime scene at the corner of Mackey Lane and Walker Road. The victim is believed to have been shot at this location and fled to Salem Drive on foot.
The crime Scene Unit collected items of evidence, and investigators canvassed the neighborhood searching for witnesses and video. This investigation is ongoing.
