Pineville Man Released on $400K Bond After Arrest for Suspected Juvenile Pornography and Deepfake Crimes

PINEVILLE, La. (3/27/2025) – A Pineville man released on $400K bond is facing multiple felony charges tied to juvenile pornography and deepfake content.

Louisiana Bureau of Investigation agents arrested 53-year-old Michael James Dauzat of Pineville on March 26, 2025.

The arrest followed a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and a joint agency investigation.

Dauzat was charged with five counts of possessing and three counts of distributing pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13.

He also faces seven counts of unlawful deepfake creation and one count of nonconsensual disclosure of a private image.

Each juvenile pornography offense carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison per count.

Unlawful deepfake charges carry up to 10 years per count. The image disclosure charge carries up to 2 years.

Dauzat was released on $400K bond was booked at 8:10 a.m. on 3/26/2025 and released at 2:08 p.m. on 3/27/2025 from the Rapides Parish Detention Center.

This arrest was made by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation with support from RPSO and Homeland Security Investigations.

The investigation remains active. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
