PINEVILLE, LA (11/5/2025) — On October 23, 2025, Rapides Parish Patrol Deputies responded to a theft report in the 4000 block of Delia Lane in Pineville.
Deputies collected initial information and forwarded the case to Tioga Substation Detectives for further investigation.
Detectives soon learned that over $100,000 had been misappropriated from an elderly victim. Evidence led investigators to identify Mark David Bowers, 60, of Pineville, as the suspect.
After reviewing bank records and contracts, Detectives obtained a warrant for Exploitation of the Infirmed. Bowers was arrested without incident and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center on October 28, 2025, at 4:07 p.m. He was released at 5:00 p.m. the same day after posting a $1,000 bond.
Detectives confirmed that all recovered funds were returned to the victim. The case remains under active investigation.
