Alexandria, LA (05/06/2024) — On Sunday, May 5, 2024, at approximately 8:30 PM, the Alexandria Police Department responded to a single vehicle crash involving a pedestrian. The incident occurred in the southbound lane of Eddie Williams Avenue, just north of Willow Glen Road.
The pedestrian, whose identity has not been disclosed, sustained critical injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The current condition of the pedestrian remains critical.
As part of the standard procedure, toxicology tests were conducted on the driver of the vehicle involved in the crash. The results of these tests are pending.
