Pedestrian Killed in Single Vehicle Crash on North Bolton Avenue

Alexandria, LA (4/22/24) – A tragic incident occurred on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at approximately 9:40 PM when the Alexandria Police Department responded to a single vehicle crash involving a pedestrian in the 2900 block of North Bolton Avenue.

The pedestrian, identified as 64-year-old Gary Joseph of Alexandria, LA, was attempting to cross the northbound travel lane of North Bolton Avenue when the crash took place.

Gary Joseph was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries sustained in the collision. Unfortunately, despite medical efforts, Joseph succumbed to his injuries.

Toxicology tests were conducted on the driver of the vehicle involved in the crash.

The Alexandria Police Department has initiated an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
