Alexandria, LA (May 15, 2025) – Pafford Emergency Medical Services is urging residents of Rapides Parish to apply for employment as the company prepares to launch ambulance service operations on June 10, 2025.
The announcement follows the Rapides Parish Police Jury’s unanimous vote on May 13, 2025, approving a written contract with Pafford to serve as the sole ambulance provider for the parish.
In a statement released Thursday, Pafford said, “We are currently recruiting and onboarding EMS professionals and support staff, and we would love to have Rapides Parish residents join our team.”
The company added, “We are committed to this parish and excited to serve its citizens. We believe hiring locally is one of the best ways to build trust and ensure quality care.”
Pafford is hiring for positions including emergency medical technicians, paramedics, dispatchers, and other support roles. The release states that job details and applications are available on their website at www.paffordems.com.
