Alexandria, LA (06/16/2024) – Early Sunday morning, June 16, 2024, the Alexandria Police Department (APD) responded to reports of gunfire near Tennessee Avenue and Levin Street.
The incident occurred around 12:40 AM, resulting in at least one person being transported to a local hospital with minor injuries according to APD
Multiple residents reported hearing the gunfire around 12:42 AM. One resident described the scene, saying, “It must be a warzone in Alexandria tonight.”
APD’s press release did not disclose the motive behind the shooting or whether the incident was isolated. The investigation is ongoing.
