Hammond, LA (6/11/2023) — The Hammond Police Department reported one person dead after a shooting Sunday, June 11, 2023, and a suspect is wanted.
On June 11, 2023, the Hammond Police Department responded to 801 Nashville, The Living Room, responding to a call of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased male lying in the ditch with an apparent gunshot wound to the chest.
Tykerstien Lusk, 23, of Springfield, was identified as the deceased victim.
During the investigation, a witness identified one of the offenders as Malik Andrews, 19, of Hammond. A warrant has been issued for Andrews for one count of First Degree Homicide and one count of Illegal Discharge of a Firearm.
The investigation is ongoing.
