ALEXANDRIA, La. (1/25/2025) – An officer-involved shooting occurred at Academy Sporting Goods, 3205 South MacArthur Drive, involving a Rapides Parish Deputy.
One suspect was transported to a local hospital by local ambulance company. Alexandria Police Department and Alexandria Fire Departments responded to assist.
No store employees sustained injuries during the incident.
Investigators with the Central Louisiana Critical Incident Response Team are processing the scene and gathering more information.
This officer-involved shooting is under active investigation, and officials will release additional details as they become available.
