Natchitoches Parish (10/03/2023) – This morning shortly before noon, 39-year-old Daniel Frost of Hagewood, Louisiana ran from Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies on Bobby Cooper Road.
Deputies attempted to make contact with him on several outstanding Natchitoches Parish Criminal Warrants for 3-counts of Violation of a Restraining Order, Criminal Trespassing, Stalking, Entering and Remaining on Premises after being Forbidden and Flight from an Officer according to Sheriff Stuart Wright.
Deputies say Frost fled into some nearby woods that led to a heavy law enforcement presence in the Hagewood community. The Winn Parish K-9 Chase Team was requested and responded to assist in an effort to search and track Frost which was still believed to be in the area and possibly in the woods on the north or south side of La. Hwy 6 and even towards La. Hwy 117 after sightings reported by citizens.
Shortly after 4:20pm, this afternoon, Frost was taken into custody on I-49 near Natchitoches. Natchitoches Regional Medical Center EMS responded to assess and treat Frost for some scratches and abrasions received while eluding law enforcement in the woods. Frost will be booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center.
Sheriff Wright thanks the coordinated efforts of NPSO Deputies, the Winn Parish K-9 Chase Team, Louisiana State Police and Robeline Police who took part in today’s search efforts to take Frost into custody safely.
