Natchitoches, LA (4/13/2024) – The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office (NPSO) is seeking the public’s assistance as they intensively search for two Natchitoches men wanted in connection with a home invasion and kidnapping of a woman near Natchitoches on Sunday morning, according to Sheriff Stuart Wright.
Detectives are currently pursuing Suspect #1, Jimmie Evans, aged 43, of the 100 block of Mary Drive, Payne Sub-Division in Natchitoches, LA. Evans is wanted on active criminal warrants for Home Invasion, Second Degree Kidnapping, and Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, signed by a Tenth Judicial District Judge. Evans may be armed.
Suspect #2, Carroll “Spotlight” Rachal, aged 63, hails from the 100 block of Roberson Street in Natchez, LA, with ties to Natchitoches. Rachal is wanted on active criminal warrants for Second Degree Kidnapping, also signed by a Tenth Judicial District Judge.
The incident occurred early Sunday morning, April 7, 2024, when Deputies responded to a reported disturbance in the 100 block of La Hwy 3191 near Natchitoches. It was reported that a female had been abducted from an apartment allegedly at gunpoint and taken into nearby woods.
As the investigation unfolded, a concerned citizen reported an upset female knocking on their door in Payne Sub-Division, seeking help after being abducted. Deputies located the victim at the residence, suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. She was treated at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center and later released.
Throughout the week, detectives conducted interviews, gathered evidence, and executed a search warrant at a residence in Payne Sub-Division, leading to the issuance of criminal warrants against Evans and Rachal.
The search for the suspects is ongoing, and the public is urged not to engage with them, as they may be armed. Instead, anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office at 911 or 352-6432, 357-7851.

Both Evans and Rachal have been entered into the nationwide National Crime Information Center as Wanted Persons.
