GRANT PARISH, La. (3/24/2025) – AÂ New Orleans woman arrested by GPSOÂ faces multiple charges after attempting to smuggle drugs into a federal prison.
Kalinda Celestine, 37, of New Orleans, was taken into custody by the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office following an investigation.
Authorities charged Celestine with Distribution of Heroin, Distribution of Methamphetamine, and Distribution of Suboxone.
Celestine also faces a charge for Taking Contraband into a Penal Institution, according to the sheriff’s department.
Her bond has been set at $75,000 and she remains in custody pending further legal action.
