Natchitoches, LA (4/13/2023) – The Natchitoches Police Department (NPD) arrested a suspect for principal to second-degree murder.
Johnny Williams, 21, of Natchitoches, Louisiana, was arrested and charged with principal to second-degree murder and illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Williams was booked in the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center.
On April 12, 2023, around 10:50 a.m., officers with the NPD responded to the 100 block of North Melrose Avenue about an individual being shot in an apartment. Upon officers’ arrival, they located Joshua Chism, 21, of Natchitoches, suffering from a single gunshot wound. As a result of his injuries, Joshua Chism was pronounced deceased by the Natchitoches Parish Coroner’s Office.
This investigation is ongoing, and the Natchitoches Police Department will release more details as they become available.
