Campti, La. (8/27/2023) – Natchitoches Parish Sheriff office reported a storm with high wind and rain. The storm passed thru the area of US71 and La HWY 486 between Campti and Clarence. Left in its wake are downed power lines and some structural damage to Creations Event Center located on the Campti Cutoff, according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriffs Office.
La Hwy 486 is closed due to the down lines.
Deputies have removed debris from US71, it is passable.
We have received reports of power outages in several areas of the parish.
If you are traveling, drive carefully pay attention to the road and avoid distractions.
