The Louisiana Spring Severe Weather Awareness Week runs from February 19 through February 25. Join us as we spend seven days preparing for severe weather, from planning to learning about lightning safety!

We’ll be working with other local National Weather Service offices and the Louisiana Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management Preparedness (GOHSEP) throughout the week to inform the public about severe weather safety. Advanced planning and increased awareness can help everyone to be safe and make smart decisions during this severe weather season.
