Evangeline Parish, LA (7/26/2023) – The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office requests the public’s assistance in locating a missing juvenile.
Amya Lirisa Matherspau, 15, African American female, left her residence on foot from the 2800 Block of Naquin Road in the Reddell Community north of Mamou on July 24, 2023, at about 7:30 pm.
Amya’s cell phone was located in a ditch about a block away from her home, and a letter was also found in her room stating that she was running away. Amya is a foster child originally living in the Rayne and Crowley areas.
