Bunkie, LA (1/25/2024) – The Bunkie Police Department has issued a Missing Child Advisory for 17-year-old Cheyanne Ducote, who was last seen at 3601 LA-115, Bunkie, LA 71322 on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 1:00 A.M. when she walked off from her custodial mother.
Cheyanne Ducote is described as a 17-year-old white female with short brown hair, standing at approximately 5’0” tall and weighing 100 pounds. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a peach T-shirt and black pants.
Cheyanne’s mother, Dawn Barthel Ducote, said on Facebook:
“Please pray for her safety. We are devastated and need to know she’s ok. She maybe just being stubborn an not contacting us yet but we just need to know she is safe. CHEYANNE if you see this, PLEASE, PLEASE let mama know you are safe baby, I love you so much, I just need to know you are safe!!!
Authorities are seeking information on Dawn Ducote and Travis Shane Ducote for questioning in relation to the child’s disappearance. Dawn Ducote, a 57-year-old white female with brown hair and green eyes, is about 5’2” tall and weighs around 200 pounds. Travis Shane Ducote, a 56-year-old white male with gray hair and a gray goatee, is approximately 5’7” tall and weighs 195 pounds. The subjects are traveling in two separate vehicles, despite being together.
The vehicles in question are a Green 1998 Ford F150 with Louisiana License Y339363 and a White 2011 Chevrolet 1500 with Louisiana License Z412968.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Cheyanne Ducote, Dawn Ducote, or Travis Shane Ducote, as well as details about the vehicles involved, is urged to contact the Bunkie Police Department or local law enforcement immediately by dialing 911.
