Man wanted for the murder De’Asia Mullins turned himself in without incident, bond set at $1,000,000

Alexandria, LA (1/5/2023) – Alexandria Police Department (APD) reported the man wanted for the for the murder De’Asia Mullins turned himself in without incident.

On Thursday, January 4, 2024, 25-year-old Alfred Rue IV of Alexandria LA turned himself in at the Rapides Parish Detention Center on an active warrant for one count of Second Degree Murder and one count of Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. 

APD had issued a warrant on Alfred Rue IV in connection to the October 18, 2023 homicide of De’Asia Mullins that occurred in the 2200 block of West Sycamore Street.

A family member said the arrest was a joint operation with the U.S. Marshal’s Service.

This is currently an ongoing investigation. 

According to the Rapides Parish Inmate Inquiry System Rue’s bond is $1,000,000.
