ALEXANDRIA, La. (3/20/2025) – Louisiana State Police are investigating after an Alexandria Police Department officer shot a man on Willow Glen Street.
The shooting happened near 3rd Street at approximately 10:06 p.m. on March 19, 2025.
LSP detectives responded to the scene after APD requested an independent investigation. Authorities have confirmed that one person was shot and taken to a local hospital. No officers were injured.
UrbanCast received multiple reports of a shooting near the Willow Glen River Road intersection around 10:20 p.m. Officials have not released details on what led to the shooting. APD has yet to issue a statement, as any public information must be approved by the mayor’s administration.
