Alexandria, LA (5/17/2023) – The Alexandria Police Department (APD) reported a man was shot and killed in Acadian Village on Avoyelles Drive.
Mr. Dontravius “DeDe” Williams, 19, of Alexandria, Louisiana was tragically taken away from his family and friends on Saturday, May 13, 2023 in the 500 block of Avoyelles Drive.
DeDe was a boyfriend, father, son, brother, and friend to many.

APD Officers said they responded to a call of shoots fired at 11:13 pm. Upon officers arrival, they found the body of Mr. Williams deceased from apparent gunshot wounds.
No arrest has been made. Mr. Williams is the 12th reported homicide case to be investigated by the Alexandria Police Department in 2023.
