LASALLE PARISH, La. (04/08/2026) — Louisiana State Police are investigating a fatal shooting following a multi-agency pursuit in LaSalle Parish.
The incident occurred Wednesday at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Louisiana Highway 28 near Dewey Wills WMA Road. Detectives with the Louisiana State Police Force Investigation Unit responded after being requested to investigate the shooting.
The pursuit involved Louisiana State Police Troopers and multiple agencies across parish lines. However, investigators are still working to determine all agencies involved.
During the incident, one subject was shot and later pronounced dead.
No law enforcement personnel were harmed.
At this time, investigators are processing the scene and gathering additional information. Authorities are also working to determine the full sequence of events.
This remains an active investigation. Louisiana State Police say more information will be released as it becomes available.
