Louisiana-Lafayette earned one of the weekend’s most thrilling victories, edging Texas State 42–39. The Ragin’ Cajuns scored 28 points in the second quarter and held off a late rally to seal the win.
Louisiana Christian University (LCU) crushed Arkansas Baptist College 77–6 at Wildcat Field. Freshman safety Kylon Polk highlighted the victory with a 53-yard interception return for a touchdown. The Wildcats scored in every quarter and controlled the game from start to finish.
Tulane kept its winning streak alive with a 38–32 win over Memphis. The Green Wave offense dominated early and maintained control through four quarters.
Grambling State delivered a strong performance against Bethune-Cookman, winning 31–23. The Tigers’ defense made key stops late to protect the lead.
McNeese State looked sharp at home with a 35–20 win over East Texas A&M. The Cowboys’ balanced offense and defensive consistency continued to impress fans in Lake Charles.
LSU struggled against No. 4 Alabama, falling 20–9. The Tigers’ defense played tough, but the offense couldn’t capitalize on key drives.
Southern University lost momentum in the second half, falling to Alcorn State 35–17. The Jaguars’ early lead slipped away after several turnovers.
Louisiana Tech suffered a heartbreaking 25–24 loss to Delaware. The Bulldogs led late before giving up a final drive score.
Nicholls State fell 28–21 to UT Rio Grande Valley despite a strong fourth-quarter effort.
Southeastern Louisiana battled hard but came up short in a 14–12 loss to Lamar.
Northwestern State struggled to generate offense in a 38–3 loss to Incarnate Word.
Louisiana-Monroe (ULM) had a bye week and will return to action next weekend.
