Lake Charles, LA – The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office reported on February 10, 2023, CPSO detectives received a complaint regarding the carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
During the investigation, detectives learned Antonio R. Chavez, 43, Sulphur, had sexual intercourse with a juvenile under 17 and photographed the incident.
On February 11, Chavez was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile; and pornography involving juveniles. Judge Tony Fazzio set his bond at $250,000.
The investigation is ongoing, and more charges are possible. CPSO Detective Kara Adams is the lead investigator on this case.
An arrest indicates probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the alleged offense. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
