Lecompte, LA (4/21/2024) – The Lecompte Police Department (LPD) reported a disturbing incident on Friday, April 19th, involving a juvenile being shot.
Officers responded to the 1700 block of Holly Street after receiving reports of shots fired in the area.
Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered that a juvenile had sustained gunshot wounds. The victim was promptly attended to and transported to a local hospital via ambulance for urgent medical care.
During the initial stages of the investigation, officers managed to gather crucial information regarding potential suspects and a description of the vehicle involved in the incident. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the Lecompte Police Department reached out for assistance from the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office (RPSO), who are now actively involved in conducting their investigation.
