The Igloo cooler recall affects over one million 90-quart rolling coolers due to a handle defect that can cause serious injuries.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall on February 13, 2025, urging consumers to stop using the affected products immediately.
The recalled coolers have a tow handle that can pinch users’ fingers, posing fingertip amputation and crushing hazards. Igloo has received 12 reports of injuries, including amputations, fractures, and lacerations.
Consumers can identify the recalled models by checking the manufacturing date codeimprinted on the bottom of the cooler. The affected units were sold from January 2019 to January 2025 at major retailers like Costco, Target, Academy, and Amazon. Prices ranged between $80 and $140.
As part of the Igloo cooler recall, the company is offering a free replacement handle. Customers should contact Igloo at 888-943-5182 or visit www.igloo90qtrecall.expertinquiry.com for more details.
This recall impacts approximately 1.06 million coolers in the United States, with 47,000 in Canada and 23,000 in Mexico. The affected models include various Latitude 90 Roller and MaxCold coolers.
