Alexandria, La. (10/5/2025) – The Alexandria Police Department has confirmed that a man was shot and killed Saturday night in the 2000 block of Kelly Street.
According to police, officers responded to the area at approximately 8:53 p.m. on October 4 after reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they found an individual suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Authorities have identified the victim as 30-year-old Juwuan Scott.
Crime scene detectives processed the area overnight as part of an ongoing homicide investigation. Police have not released any information regarding a suspect or possible motive at this time.
