Alexandria, La. (1/12/2026) — Alexandria knows JT Lindsey, and now the SEC gets a little more interesting. The hometown favorite is trading purple and gold for red and blue, leaving LSU and transferring to Ole Miss. UrbanCast is rolling with JT as he takes the next step in his journey.
According to his mother, Lindsey made the decision with clarity and confidence. Ole Miss added offensive depth through the transfer portal with the former Alexandria High School standout. The 6-foot, 191-pound running back now joins a Rebel backfield ready for impact.
Importantly, Lindsey is following familiar ground. He will reunite with former running backs coach Frank Wilson, now serving in that same role at Ole Miss. Sometimes football really is about relationships.
Lindsey delivered a historic senior season at Alexandria High School. He rushed for 2,361 yards and 33 touchdowns on 302 carries. Additionally, he added 248 receiving yards and three touchdown catches.
Those numbers made Lindsey a four-star recruit. He ranked No. 4 overall in Louisiana, No. 7 among running backs, and No. 132 nationally. His production placed him among the state’s elite.
After stepping back to focus on academics and personal growth, Lindsey earned excellent grades. He was recently cleared to compete during the upcoming 2026 season.
His mother credited consistent support, faith, and accountability for helping him stay grounded. She emphasized the role of family, mentors, and community throughout the journey.
From UrbanCast: to JT’s mother, your words reflect unwavering belief and steady guidance. That foundation clearly mattered.
Now, JT Lindsey takes his hometown support from Tiger country straight into Rebel territory. The SEC just got a little louder, and UrbanCast is rolling with JT.
