Glenmora, LA (5/16/2023) – The Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Department (RPSO) and Glenmora Police Department (GPD) are investigating a homicide that occurred Tuesday, May 15, 2023.
On the evening of May 16, 2023, at approximately 8:40 PM, deputies responded to the Glenmora area about a report of a shooting.Â
Upon arrival, deputies located a gunshot victim who Acadian Air Med transported to a local hospital, where they were later pronounced deceased. Detectives say the victim’s name is being withheld until all next of kin have been notified.
RPSO and GPD Detectives are currently processing evidence and interviewing witnesses. Currently, police don’t believe the shooting was connected to the graduation.
