GLENMORA, LA (6/5/2025) – A routine traffic stop on May 31, 2025, resulted in a major drug bust and the arrest of three individuals in connection with illegal narcotics and firearms. The incident occurred on U.S. Highway 165 near Glenmora, where a Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Patrol Deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.
The vehicle was occupied by Gatloyn O’bryan Blue and Roydarius Lemar Rachal. During the roadside interview, the deputy developed reasonable suspicion of narcotics involvement and called for a K-9 unit. The narcotics-trained canine alerted positively, leading to a search of the vehicle that uncovered ten cases: 120 bottles of promethazine syrup, a handgun, and a single oxycodone pill.
The Rapides Area Drug Enforcement (RADE) Unit responded and took over the investigation. Their findings prompted a search warrant for Blue’s residence at 5445 Provine Place Apartments in Alexandria. There, agents encountered Caljoneke Armstead, the sole occupant at the time. The search uncovered additional promethazine (some with codeine), ten oxycodone pills, another handgun outfitted with a machine gun conversion device, and a large amount of cash.
Arrest Details
- Gatloyn O’bryan Blue, 28, remains in custody on a $233,500 bond.
- Roydarius Lemar Rachal, 29, was released the same day on a $24,950 bond.
- Caljoneke Armstead, 25, was released the next day on a $133,000 bond.
Charges range from multiple counts of possession with intent to distribute, illegal firearm possession, and use of drug proceeds. Blue and Armstead were served civil asset forfeiture paperwork for the seized cash, and an ATF Task Force Deputy will investigate the illegal firearm modification device.
