Showers and thunderstorms will be ongoing Friday morning, with activity moving east across central and south central Louisiana through the morning.

Additional showers and storms could develop again during the afternoon as the cold front moves through the area. Some of these showers and storms could be strong to severe. Temperatures will be warm in advance of the front, with highs in the upper 70s.

Friday night a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8 pm. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 52. North wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. 

Saturday is sunny, with a high near 77. East wind 5 to 10 mph.
