St. Tammany, La. (11/23/2022) – On Monday, 11/21/2022, Travis Clark, a former Pearl River Priest, pleaded guilty to felony obscenity on charges. The charges stem from a 2020 incident where he was discovered having sex with two women on the altar of St. Peter and St. Paul Catholic Church.
In October 2020, a passerby called the police after he saw Clark half naked, having sex with two women. The women were dressed in corsets and high-heeled boots atop the altar through a church window.
When officers arrived, they discovered Mindy Dixon, 41, and Melissa Cheng, 23, professional dominatrices. A tripod-mounted camera, sex toys, and stage lighting was set up to record the activities.
Melissa Cheng, professionally known as Mistress Ming, and Mindy Dixon pleaded guilty to misdemeanor counts of institutional vandalism. Ming and Dixon were given two years of probation.
On the eve of the incident, Dixon, an adult film actress, bragged on social media that she was going to “defile a house of God.”
According to the archbishop of New Orleans, the desecrated altar was burned in the aftermath of Clark’s “demonic” conduct. A new altar was consecrated in November 2020. Archbishop Gregory Aymond reconsecrated the church by sprinkling holy water on the new altar, walls, and parishioners.
Clark, ordained in 2013, was defrocked/removed from the ministry shortly after his arrest. He has paid restitution to the church for $8,000.
Clark received a sentence of 3 years of supervised probation and a $1,000 fine.
