Vernon Parish, LA (11/7/2025) – The Louisiana State Police Criminal Investigations Division – Alexandria Field Office arrested former Allen Parish Sheriff’s Office Deputy Winston Lambright following a detailed investigation into the misuse of law enforcement databases.
On November 5, 2025, the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office requested state police assistance after learning of possible unauthorized access to the Louisiana Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (LLETS).
Detectives soon determined that Lambright collected confidential law enforcement information and shared it with a private citizen. Later, that individual posted the sensitive data on social media platforms.
As a result, Lambright was charged on November 7, 2025, with unlawful search and dissemination of criminal history information, trespass against state computers, and malfeasance in office. He was processed at the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office without incident.
The Louisiana State Police will continue leading the investigation. Moreover, the case will be turned over to the Vernon Parish District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
