ALEXANDRIA, La. (3/28/2025) – Matthew Frost tied to federal wrongful death litigation has now been charged with obstruction of justice – evidence tampering, according to Louisiana State Police.
Frost, 28, was booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center on March 27, 2025, at 2:31 PM and released the same day at 3:13 PM. His bond was set at $1,000.
Frost, previously arrested on March 3 for two counts of cruelty to a juvenile, is now facing new allegations stemming from a continued LSP investigation.
Two other arrests followed. Brittany Tullis, 28, was booked on March 28, 2025, at 9:26 AM and released at 10:04 AM. Her bond was also set at $1,000 for the same charge: obstruction of justice – evidence tampering.
Tamiko Paulk, 52, a former deputy with the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office, was booked on March 27, 2025, at 2:31 PM and released at 3:18 PM. She faces two felony counts: malfeasance in office and obstruction of justice – evidence tampering, with a total bond of $2,000.
Frost, a former Alexandria Police Department officer and Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s deputy, is also named in a federal wrongful death lawsuit involving Rose Marie Taylor, who died in police custody in May 2022.

As reported by The Town Talk’s Melissa Gregory, the lawsuit claims Frost, along with Brian Frost and Alexander Helminger, used excessive force during Taylor’s arrest and denied her medical care. Taylor died 13 days later. A forensic pathologist ruled her death a homicide caused by complications from blunt force injuries.

The investigation remains active. State Police have not ruled out additional arrests.
