Forest Hill Police Chief Dixon Resigns Following Federal Indictment

FOREST HILL, La. (7/18/2025) – Forest Hill Police Chief Glynn Dixon has resigned, according to the Louisiana Secretary of State’s office.

Dixon’s resignation follows his indictment earlier this month in a federal case alleging a multi-year visa fraud and bribery scheme. He is one of four current and former law enforcement officers and a local businessman charged in a 62-count indictment that accuses the group of falsifying police reports to assist with fraudulent U-Visa applications.

Dixon faces charges including conspiracy to commit visa fraud, visa fraud, mail fraud, and money laundering. The indictment alleges that he, along with the other defendants, accepted payments to create false police reports for foreign nationals seeking U-Visas.

The Secretary of State has officially listed the Forest Hill police chief position as vacant. It remains unclear whether an interim chief will be appointed or how the vacancy will be filled.

This resignation comes as public scrutiny intensifies over the case, which federal officials described as a significant breach of public trust.
