According to a release from the Alexandria Police Department, officers responded to the intersection of Culpepper Road and North Boulevard around 6:36 PM on June 18, 2025, following a collision involving a car and a four-wheeler.

The four-wheeler was being driven by a 12-year-old, carrying three younger passengers aged 10, 6, and 4. Chief Chad Gremillion Stated

Alexandria Police Chief Chad Gremillion stated, “Our hearts hurt anytime someone is injured or killed. I personally witnessed the tireless efforts of the first responders from the Alexandria Fire Department, Rapides Fire District #2, and Pafford EMS, as well as the ER staff at Rapides Regional — they gave everything they had.”

Chief Gremillion expressed condolences to the family of the child who died and urged the public to understand the dangers of operating ATVs on city streets. “These vehicles are not designed for road traffic, and the consequences can be tragic.
