According to a National Weather Service The Fall Equinox 2024 officially started today at 7:43 AM CST.
At this time, the Sun is positioned directly over the Earth’s equator, marking the beginning of fall in the Northern Hemisphere.
On this Fall Equinox 2024, day and night will be almost equal in length. After today, daylight hours will gradually shorten until the Winter Solstice, which falls on December 21, 2024.
Daylight Saving Time will also end on November 3, 2024, giving us shorter days and darker evenings.
