Alexandria, LA (4/10/2023) – Sources said that multiple shots were fired on Sunday, April 9, 2023, at a busy gas station located at the intersection of MacArthur Drive and Lee Street.
The gunfire erupted around 9 pm at the Valero (former Mobil) gas station at the 3700 Block of South MacArthur Drive. Sources on the scene said patrons were ducking and hiding, but there were no known injuries inside or outside the gas station. Sources also said the gunshots were fired at the vehicle as it sped away.
Alexandria Police Department was seen canvassing the scene of the shooting.
Other incidents reported to UrbanCast on Easter Sunday:
- Multiple reports of gunfire in the Northside Area
- APD was also seen responding to a vehicle crash on Lee Street near Evergreen Street. Multiple sources said it was related to the Valero (former Mobil) incident.
- A heavy police presence was seen in the Martin Park/Airview Terrace Area.Â
- Police were seen pursuing a vehicle just behind McDonald’s on South MacArthur Drive.
- Police were seen speeding down Jackson Street around 2 am (Monday morning).
