Drive-by Shooting on Stracener Street Leaves One Injured

ALEXANDRIA, La. (3/3/2025) – A drive-by shooting on Stracener Street left one person injured Sunday night, according to the Alexandria Police Department.

Officers responded to the 900 block of Stracener Street at 10:06 p.m. after reports of gunfire. Authorities said the victim suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

Police have not released a motive and did not confirm whether the shooting was targeted. No suspects have been named, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Also on Sunday evening, heavy police presence was reported near Masonic Drive at the South Traffic Circle and MacArthur Drive at Rapides Avenue. Authorities have not confirmed if these incidents are related.
