Obituary
LaTusha Sheree Trusty was born September 10, 1976, in Lake Providence, Louisiana, to Charlene Taylor and the late James Taylor, Sr. She loved the Lord and was very passionate about her husband, daughters, pets, family, coworkers, and friends. LaTusha was raised in a Christian home in Eudora, Arkansas, where she confessed her hope in Christ at a very young age in 1986. She was a member of King James Missionary Baptist Church and a member of the choir. In her later years, LaTusha attended Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Alexandria, Louisiana. She was also a member of St. Joseph Mount Olive Houston Masonic Lodges and Chapters Order of Eastern Star Hadassah #2111.
LaTusha was very active in her childhood years, where she attended the Eudora School Systems. She was a proud graduate of the Class of 1994. She truly loved and played basketball – she was a MIGHTY BADGER; in high school, LaTusha attended Philander Smith College in Little Rock, Arkansas, where she majored in Physical Education and was a member of the Lady’s Basketball Team.
Following college, LaTusha relocated to Houston, Texas, to begin her career as a young professional. She was employed in law enforcement as a Communications Officer and Supervisor with the City of Rosenberg, Texas, for fourteen years. LaTusha was truly loved by her team and coworkers; she was tremendously missed when she relocated to Alexandria, Louisiana, in 2017 to accept new employment with the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office, where she faithfully served until she was called home. On the ‘B-Shiff’, LaTusha was known for having a ‘Mothering’ demeanor, being hard-working, and genuinely loved by all she encountered.
On July 27, 2019, LaTusha married the love of her life, Albert “BIG TANK” Trusty, and between them, they shared two loving daughters, Marcasia Plummer and Odie Trusty, and three beloved pets – Domino, Harley, and Willow.
